Cashmere is a noble and delicate material that loves water. A cashmere sweater should be washed regularly, after being worn two or three times. Machine washing is suitable for cashmere sweaters. Always use a wool program and do not exceed 500 rpm for spinning. Contrary to what one might imagine, cashmere does not tolerate fabric softener. Hand washing is also a possible alternative, following the same guidelines as machine washing: gently knead it for a few minutes without wringing it. The cashmere sweater should always be dried flat to maintain its original shape. If the knit shows some creases, it can be ironed with a gentle iron without stretching the fabric.
