Cashmere is a noble and delicate material that loves water. A cashmere sweater should be washed regularly, after being worn two or three times. Machine washing is suitable for a cashmere sweater. You must use a wool cycle and do not exceed 500 revolutions per minute for the spin cycle. Contrary to what one might imagine, cashmere does not tolerate fabric softener. Hand washing is also a possible alternative by following the same instructions as for machine washing, by kneading it for a few minutes without wringing it. A cashmere sweater must always be dried flat so that it retains its original shape. If the knit has a few creases, it can be ironed with a cool iron without pulling on the knit.
